BudgetHive

Terms of Use & Disclaimer

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Not financial advice

BudgetHive is a self-service budgeting tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax or debt advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as a personal recommendation. BudgetHive is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not carry out any regulated activity under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

Getting help with money

For free, impartial guidance in the UK, contact MoneyHelper (moneyhelper.org.uk), Citizens Advice, or StepChange if you are struggling with debt.

Currency and figures

All amounts in BudgetHive are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Any figures shown on the marketing pages are clearly labelled example data and do not represent real users or real results.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You keep ownership of the data you enter, and you may delete it at any time.

Who you are contracting with

BudgetHive is operated by Zahra Javed ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. You must not misuse the service — this includes unlawful use, fraud or spam, infringing anyone's intellectual property, and interfering with the security of the service (malware, probing, scraping or circumventing technical limits).

We own the app, its software, content and branding. You keep ownership of the data you enter, and you grant us only the limited permission needed to host and process it so we can provide the service.

BudgetHive Plus and payments

BudgetHive Plus is an optional subscription costing £3.99 per month, including VAT where applicable. It renews monthly until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy with BudgetHive Plus, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your order date. Refunds are processed by our payment provider, Paddle — request one at paddle.net or by contacting us. This is in addition to your statutory rights, including your 14-day right to cancel a distance contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, do not pay for a subscription, or create a security or fraud risk. You can close your account at any time; when you do, your budget data is deleted.

Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise the service is provided "as is": we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, we disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.
